Fancy a bit of wine tasting, apple-peeling, grape crushing, parades, fireworks and general wine mayhem in Queensland this March? Then head to Stanthorpe’s bi-annual grape festival – taking place this March 2-4.
Don’t know where Stanthorpe is? We’ve included a map from the official site here:
And some road distance:
Brisbane 2.5 hours
Gold Coast 3 hours
Toowoomba 1.5 hours
Tenterfield 45 minutes
Glen Innes 1.5 hours
Armidale 3.5 hours
The closest VIP hostels are in the Gold Coast and Brisbane. If you can’t make it to Stanthorpe for the festival consider a visit at any time of year for wonderful wine and cider tasting, beautiful little towns and wonderful landscapes – the amazing Giraween National Park is also nearby which is fantastic for walks, swimming (in summer) and wildlife.
