And in this part of the world, if you’re a VIP Backpacker, that means you’re thinking about travel! To help you on your way, here are some hot VIP destinations to consider in 2010.
1. Sydney, Australia
The perennial backpacker favourite won’t alter its status in 2010. If you’re arriving in Australia this is a good place to base for work, the climate is great and there’s plenty to see and do, plus there’s gnarly events all year like the Mardi Gras and New Year’s fireworks.

3. Dublin, Ireland
If you haven’t put Dublin on your itinerary yet, it’s time you jumped on the bandwagon. With fantastic budget flights to Dublin every day there’s little excuse. With fabulous VIP accommodation right in the heart of the Temple Bar district you can take in all the sights, the history and the Guinness! Head out to the Wicklow Mountains for some stunning daytrips.

10. Cape Town, South Africa
With the FIFA World Cup going off here in June, Cape Town is going to be the destination to beat in 2010.
