Tiger Airways Australia resumes budget flights downunder

If you’re out for a cheap deal on flights in Australia you will be pleased to hear that Tiger Airways Australia was given the all clear to resume their services between Melbourne and Sydney last week and this Thursday they will start up again between Melbourne and Brisbane. The services will initially be limited but increase as the weeks pass.

If you weren’t aware there had been a problem – the budget carrier was grounded since July for safety reasons but has now been given the all clear by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Australia has some of the most stringent safety checks on airlines in the world so if CASA has cleared it, rest assured they should now be safe.

Tiger Airways Australia is another alternative to flying with other major Australian domestic carriers such as Qantas, JetStar and VirginBlue. There are also smaller regional airlines.
