Photo competition: Slumdogs and millionaires

If you’d like to make a difference with your travel photographs you might like to consider submitting them to this competition run by Manchester Amnesty.

Here are the details:

Over a billion people around the world live in informal settlements and experience a staggering amount of human rights violations daily. They are routinely denied the right to adequate housing, safe water, sanitation and drainage, electricity, health and education. They face the constant threat of police and gang violence and forced eviction.

Manchester Amnesty presents a unique opportunity to reflect on what it means to live with dignity, no matter where you settle.

You are invited to participate in an International competition by submitting a piece of photographic art reflecting on dignity in one of the following categories

Photo essay
Roof above my head
Human rights live here

Prizes will be selected by a panel of VIP guest judges to be announced.
