Mark this one down in your diary because it’s going to be huge. The Deniliquin Ute Muster is set to blast off late this month in a frenzy of utes, country music, rodeo, agricultural shows, children’s activities, citcus performers and bars.
Up to 10,000 utes (short for utility vehicle) descend on the country town every year for some car culture of a kind you’ve probably never seen. You might also spot performers like Cold Chiesel, Lee Kernaghan and Kasey Chambers – some of the feature acts of the 2010 event.
If you fancy a bit of country action in late September you might like to head to this festival. It’s become one of the premier events in regional Australia and a great place to celebrate all things ute and Australian!
When is it:
Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October, 2011
Where is it:
Three and a half hours from Melbourne and located on routes from Melbourne to Canberra and Sydney, and from Adelaide across to Sydney or Canberra.
If you still need some convincing then check out the video below of a previous event, then visit the website – www.deniutemuster.com.au – for all the details.
