1. Spring Whites and Earthly Delights wine festival, South Australia
What: Wine tasting around the Adelaide Hills region.

2. Tastes at the Bay Food and Wine Festival, NSW
What: Fine food, stalls and music in the pretty marina and surrounding restaurants.

4. Melbourne Cup, Victoria
What: Billed as the race that stops the nation, this event is not just heralded in Melbourne but across the country. Don a frock, a hat and lay your punt with friends and enjoy the fun. It’s an Aussie tradition.

2. Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival, Queensland
What: One of the world’s premier triathlons with plenty of other associated sport events such as ocean swimming and duathlon. A great week of activities in one of Queensland’s nicest beach resorts even if you don’t want to don your shoes, bike or swimmers.

5. Melbourne International Arts Festival, Victoria
