VIP Backpackers is pleased to announce two exciting new appointments to our staff. The first is a new General Manager, Mr. Oliver Voss, who is no stranger to the tourism industry and has many years experience in all aspects of tourism. This new appointment comes at a crucial time as the VIP brand launches its new exciting website.
Oliver started work in the tourism industry in 1994 as a tour guide in Kakadu National Park and an MC at the famous Vic Hotel in Darwin. He also worked as a tour guide for Adventure Tours Australia in Alice Springs and a travel agent in Cairns and Melbourne, before managing and building the Best of Australia travel centres brand which operates in Federation Square Melbourne, the Perth Visitor Centre and Sydney.
Oliver has a proven track record which he attributes to his passion and dedication to the tourism industry. “I have seen the VIP product work extremely well throughout Australia in the past,” Oliver explains, “and its success is dependent on its member’s commitment to drive VIP card sales and support fellow VIP hostels with onward bookings. I hope that all existing members will continue to support the VIP network and look forward to working with you all.”
Oliver will be in touch personally with VIP members to discuss the upcoming year and membership renewals will be sent out shortly.
Also joining the team is Robbie Ford (Sales and Marketing)who you will see from time to time doing sales calls and offering promotional material to help drive business. Many of you will already know Robbie who has had over 25 years experience in the Youth and Adventure market. Robbie has spent many years forging strong relationships with key Tourism suppliers both Domestically and Internationally. His vast knowledge and experience in the industry will help to take VIP to the next level…
