docklands nye

Everyone knows about the Sydney fireworks spectacular that we’ve featured in previous New Years party lists, but what about near neighbour Melbourne? Melbourne loves to party just as much as Sydney and over New Year it comes alive with all the music, fireworks and entertainment you could wish for. Places to head to include Federation Square, Yarra Park, Southbank, Docklands, Flagstaff and Treasury. At Fed Square there’s a huge concert from 8pm until late, there’s a beach party at Docklands and other huge parties at Riverside. There are simply so many places to go. Check out sites such as and to plan your assault.

San_franciscoSAN FRANCISCO (USA)

So you all know about the Times Square bash in NYC on the other side of the country, but what about San Fran? There are parties left right and centre in the west coast hub of fun and entertainment. The highlight is the midnight firework show that is launched from barges off pier 14 betwee

n Mission and Folsom Streets. Twenty thousand can make their way down here along the Embarcadero and while the crowd will keep you warm in the chilly temperatures and creates a great party atmopshere it can be busy. The alternative is to head to a venue along the Street or at any of the major hotels. One of the most popular events over the evening is The Streets of SF annual party but get your tickets early. Wherever you end up expect plenty of fun and frivolity as San Fran celebrates.
